To ensure a successful debut, Nissan will be showcasing Datsun GO in 90 cities across the country. Earlier in March 2012, Datsun was introduced in India by Nissan with an aim to take on the attention of masses with low priced cars. Now the time has come that when under the moniker of Datsun, its first model GO will be launched in the Indian market. However, the auto company wants to ensure right kind of environment for its first Datsun vehicle to breathe freely, post launch. Thus, the auto maker has taken the gruelling task of a pan-India roadshow campaign across 90 cities of India. The idea is simple yet knocking; a widespread awareness about its latest hatchback 'Datsun GO' before its much awaited launch.

This is the first time, customers will be able to touch and feel Datsun's first offering.” Kenichiro Yomura, President of Nissan India Operations, reportedly said, “The GO promises to fulfil the aspirations of Indian car buyers with its price proposition, and we are sure that it will exceed the expectations with exteriors, interiors and innovative features....”

The auto company has already revealed that Datsun GO hatchback will be competitively priced below Rs. 4 lakh. It will come equipped with a 1.2-litre engine, mated to a five speed manual transmission system. The company officials have also revealed that Datsun vehicles will go on sales in India, Indonesia, Russia and South Africa from 2014. It is believed that post launch, Datsun Go will square off against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Spark.
