The entire Nissan Kicks range is being offered with dual front airbags, LED DRLs, power windows, height adjustable driver’s seat, electrically adjustable mirrors with integrated indicators and climate control with rear AC vents. The top-of-the-line XV Pre-Option variant also gets a 360-degree surround camera, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play/ Android Auto. Looking to appeal to the millennial crowd, Nissan is offering the Kicks with seven single tone and four dual tone colour schemes.

Nissan will launch the Kicks with a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol engine produces 105bhp/142Nm and is mated to a five-speed manual with an ARAI certified efficiency of 14.23kmpl. The diesel, on the other hand, produces 108bhp/240Nm with a six-speed manual and an ARAI-certified efficiency of 20.4kmpl for the XL variant and 19.39kmpl for the XV variants. Nissan is expected to bring in automatic gearbox models at a later date as a planned update for the Kicks.

The Nissan Kicks will be a rival for the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia SP2i (in production guise), Renault Duster as well as the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Of this lot, the Hyundai Creta is the Kicks' most significant rival and we have already looked at how they stack up against each other. It’s expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs but we believe that Nissan will give the Kicks an introductory pricing of Rs 9.99 lakhs to start the sales momentum strong.
