As potential customers eagerly wait for the new Terrano to come with an AMT transmission, the Japanese automaker has released a fresh teaser for the upcoming Terrano variant. The vehicle is expected to be up on sale before the end of this year. Except for technical changes, the new model is not expected to get cosmetic upgrades.
The Nissan Terrano SUV is available in petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.6-litre petrol generates 104bhp of power and 145Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel is available in two tunes - 85bhp and 110bhp. The Terrano will also get the ZF-sourced Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) system, which also serves in the Renault Duster. However, the Duster comes with an all-wheel drive option, but it is unlikely that Nissan will offer AWD option on the Terrano anytime soon.
The interior might however get fresh upgrades in the form of revised upholstery. The company might also offer touchscreen with navigation and automatic climate control. The Duster AMT is available in RxL and RxZ variants which are priced at Rs 11.76 lakh and Rs 12.97 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. We can expect The Terrano to be priced around Rs 11-14 lakh.
