Nissan has launched the Terrano AMT and it has been priced at Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This automatic model is only available in the top-of-the-line variant and costs Rs 60,000 more than the top-spec manual variant. This car features an AMT or an automated manual transmission where the car uses a manual transmission but the clutch action and changing of gears is computer controlled.  It gets a slightly modified interior and is available across 7 colour options including a new shade which the automaker has termed ‘sandstone brown’.

Firstly, the engine powering this variant is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel unit producing 109bhp and 245Nm of torque with power going to the front wheels via a six-speed AMT. The cabin has been slightly revised and there is some new badging at the rear to signify the car’s automatic nature.

The Terrano AMT is priced Rs 78,000 more than the Renault RXZ 4x2 AMT variant which is the same price difference between the top-of-the-line Renault Duster MT and Nissan Terrano MT variants. The arrival of the Terrano AMT comes a full seven months after Renault launched the facelifted Duster for the Indian market.
