Nissan India has launched the new updated Sunny at Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated C-segment sedan from Nissan gets new body colour and new upholstery.
The 2017 update gives the Sunny a new body paint which Nissan calls sandstone brown. The interior is done in black instead of beige, with seats wrapped in fabric. The dashboard gets silver inserts around the centre console and gear lever. The update also comes with an exterior door handles finished in chrome. Except the following, no other changes have been made in the new Sunny.
The updated Sunny remains the same under the skin as well. So the new Sunny will continue to come with a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The transmission choices include a five-speed manual while the petrol variant gets a CVT. Nissan has also provided the new Sunny with safety features such as ABS with EBD, brake assist as well as dual front and side airbags as standard across the range.
Nissan aims at boosting the poor sale figures of the Sunny in India with this update. The C-segment competition for the Sunny has moved ahead. The Skoda Rapid received a facelift last year, while the new Vento and City will be arriving this year.
