The Nissan Sunny model was introduced in the world market at the 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition in December 2010. The car has been designed at the Nissan Design and Nissan Motor’s Japan based headquarters. Interestingly, while designing the car at its headquarters, the company designers have taken inputs from as many as 170 countries.

Besides China and India, the car will be sold in a number of world countries in coming years. It is to be mentioned here that the Nissan Sunny is based on company’s proven V- (Versatile) platform that has already been used for developing its Micra model.

Though the company is yet to reveal the pricing and specification details of this car for the Indian market, the car is expected to be launched in the price segment of Rs 7 to 8 lakh, where it will be competing with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and Toyota Etios
