      Nissan showcases Patrol SUV and Leaf electric hatchback at Nissan Carnival event

      The recently held Nissan Carnival even marks the Japanese carmaker's successful 10 years of presence in India. The event held at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida featured the brands latest offerings for the Indian market. Apart from its existing fleet of interesting cars, the carmaker also showcased the much talked about Patrol SUV and the all-electric vehicle hatchback Leaf. The cars were reportedly brought in for the Carnival event all the way from Dubai.

      The latest generation of Patrol SUV is powered by 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine that is capable of generating about 406 PS of maximum power with about 560 Nm of peak-torque output. The power packed machine under the hood powers all the four wheels of this SUV. The vehicle is likely to be offered in automatic and manual transmissions in India. The globally popular Leaf electric compact hatchback is powered by 80kW AC electric motor that is capable of delivering a peak torque output of about 254 Nm. The vehicle can be fully charged in just about 8 hours and is capable of covering a distance of about 135 kms.
