The Nissan Patrol made its first debut in 1951, which has evolved to the sixth generation at present. This full-size SUV is provided with a 5.8-litre V8 petrol engine, which churns out a maximum power output of 400 bhp with peak torque of 560 Nm. The SUV has also been provided with an All-Mode 4x4 drivetrain with an option of Multi Surface Selection as well as Hydraulic Body Motion Control Suspension System. Apart from these functions, it comes with a 13-speaker BOSE audio system, intelligent cruise control and an electric tilt panoramic sunroof. Several safety features have been added to the Patrol like distance control assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning as well as blind spot warning and intervention.

Once launched in the Indian market, Nissan Patrol will face stiff competition from the Mercedes-Benz GL Class and Toyota Land Cruiser. Only time will tell, whether the Japanese company has such plans in the pipeline for India; till then the anticipation continues.
