In a bid rejuvenate its global portfolio, Nissan Motor Company has officially raised curtains over the photos and videos of the production version of the next generation Nissan Pathfinder. The 2013 Pathfinder marked its last appearance as a concept version in the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year.
Since the market for SUVs is robustly surging in the international market, Nissan is aiming to capitalise on the demand by offering more fuel efficient model in the segment. The fourth generation Pathfinder shares the platform with the Infiniti JX Crossover shedding around 227 kgs of weight as compared to the previous generation and switches to a unibody styling.
The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder is blessed with 3.5 litre V6 engine churning out a top power of 260 hp, effectively mated with Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission offered with 2WD, 4WD and Auto mode options. The front wheel drive model is designed to offer fuel efficiency of 20 mpg in city, 26 mpg in highways and 22 mpg on a combined mode. Moreover, the four wheel drive offers an increased fuel economy of 19 mpg in city, 25 mpg in highways and 21 mpg on a combined mode.
Besides the sleeker exterior appeal, the all new Pathfinder embodies highly luxurious interiors that use high quality plastics and the centre console grabs attention with its faux wood trim.
Other high-end attributes fabricated in the SUV are Bluetooth Hands free Phone System, Heated and Cooled front seats, Nissan Navigation System, 13 speaker Bose Audio System, Intelligent key and Around View parking monitor.
