      Nissan NV200 coming to India very soon

      The Japanese auto giant Nissan is planning to launch a new Multi Utility Vehicle – Nissan NV 200 – in the Indian auto market very soon. The new MUV is expected be rolled-out in the price segment of Rs 9 to 13 lakh where it will be competing with the likes of Toyota Innova, Tata Aria, Mahindra Xylo, etc.

      The new vehicle will be produced at the company’s Chennai manufacturing unit, where it already produced its portfolio cars like Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny. Besides the manufacturing, all other parts and accessories will be taken care by the Hover Group, which will also be responsible for the sales promotions, supply of spare parts, marketing and development and even servicing of the vehicles.

      However, the pricing and specification details of the vehicle are yet to be disclosed by the company. The NV200 will has been more of a transport vehicle, thus is expected receive a high demand from the business transport class.

      The launch of Nissan NV 200 will be in-line with the company’s plans of rolling-out five new cars in the Indian auto market by in coming years. Nissan India is aiming to sell about 40,000 units in the current year as compared to mere 13,000 units sold during the last year.

      Meanwhile, the company has launched its much awaited Sunny sedan in the Indian auto market, which is receiving a considerably well response from the buyers of this segment.
