      Nissan introduces fourth season of Student Brand Manager campaign

      Nissan India, the domestic division of Japanese auto maker, has introduced the fourth edition of its Student Brand Manager programme, specially for the management students in almost 30 cities of the country. Following this event, the auto maker is anticipating to report more than 4,000 entries, which will be summarised to 30 selected candidates in a course of time. Interestingly, the winner of this event will be get the tag of Nissan Student Brand Manager and will be also provided with a Nissan Micra.

      Reportedly, the selected candidates will be encouraged to present their creative talents in assisting the Japanese auto maker to establish a strong foothold in the Indian auto market. The activities will include designing unique events of their own and planning test drive days at their respective colleges. Experts believe that these moves will surely assist the brand in creating a buzz among the student community. It must be noted that the campaign is open for only management students all over India, including the Eastern region, which has recently joined the league of B-Schools.

      As per the company officials, the auto maker is also eyeing to tap young talent from Tier 2 cities as it is of a view that this segment has enough potential to workout wonders for the company. While launching the campaign, the Director (Sales & Marketing), Hover Automotive India was quoted as saying, Nitish Tipnis was quoted as saying, “The fact that the NSBM programme is entering its fourth consecutive year reflects our commitment to identify and nurture management talent. It also helps us build our brand association with the young people of India who will be tomorrow’s leaders of the corporate world.”

      The selected candidates will be provided with a grant for six months, in order to help them conceptualise and implement the ideas on brand visibility of the auto maker. Being a Nissan Student Brand Manager, the candidates will be also provided with an Micra hatchback to plan activities like conducting test drives and host marketing activities. With this campaign, industry experts are of view that Nissan India will create a buzz in the youngsters of the country by engaging them in such interesting activities.
