Nissan India has opened a new dealership in Shillong, Meghalaya. Orange Nissan is located at Lumsohphoh and is the first Nissan facility in the state.
The showroom spreads over an area of 3,240 sq.ft. and can display five vehicles at the same time. The service station is situated at Shillong, Jowai Road. This new facility will cater to sales and service of both Nissan and Datsun brands and is the 14th Nissan outlet in the North Eastern region.
Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The automobile market in the North East region of India has increased exponentially over the last few years. Nissan will be expanding aggressively in the northeast to reach customers there and gain a healthy share of this huge potential market. We are also gearing up to launch our new Datsun Redigo, which will compete in the entry-level car segment in India."
With the inauguration of this new facility, Nissan has expanded their dealer network to 219 outlets across 166 cities in our country. Their aim is to open 300 sales and service touch points by March 2017. It is good to see that the manufacturer has been making constant efforts to improve its service and association with its customer base across India. The expansion will help the carmaker to cater to the existing consumers and new buyers with the upcoming products like the Datsun Redigo and the Nissan X-Trail hybrid.
