
Nissan India has launched the Gravite in India at an introductory price of Rs. 5.65 lakh, ex-showroom. Positioned as a seven-seater MPV, the Gravite marks the beginning of the brand’s renewed product offensive in the country and is manufactured locally at the alliance plant in Chennai. Bookings are now open across dealerships and online.
The Gravite is offered in four core variants – Visia, Acenta, N Connecta, and Tekna – with prices going up to Rs. 8.49 lakh for the range-topping Tekna AMT. It is available in five exterior colours – Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Storm White, and Metallic Grey.

In terms of design, the Gravite adopts Nissan’s signature lighting elements at the front and rear, along with a Piano Black grille, LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, LED tail lamps, LED fog lamps, roof rails, and pronounced wheel arches.
Inside, the Gravite focuses on modularity and space. It offers flexible seating for two to seven occupants, with a removable third row. Boot capacity stands at 625 litres in five-seat configuration, 320 litres in six-seat layout, and 84 litres in seven-seat mode. The cabin gets quilted suede and leatherette upholstery, air conditioning with three row vents, separate second-row AC controls, and multiple cooled storage spaces.

Feature highlights include an 8.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.0-inch fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, auto LED headlamps with follow me home function, walk away lock and approach unlock, and front and rear parking sensors.
Powering the MPV is a 1.0-litre, three cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72bhp and 96Nm of torque. It is paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a five-speed AMT. Claimed fuel efficiency stands at 19.3kmpl for the manual and 19.6kmpl for the AMT.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill start assist, brake assist, ABS with EBD, and seat belt reminders for all occupants, forming part of over 30 standard safety features.
