What you see in the pictures is the upcoming four-door Jeep Wrangler with a new roof top.
Sources have already claimed that Jeep has been secretly working on updating the roof of the new Wrangler to take on a few roof-top options, and this sighting now confirms it. A look at the roof of the new Wrangler shows a three-piece hardtop, and though it seems obvious that two of the roof panels will be removable, it remains to be seen if the third one can also come off for an unrestricted open-air drive. It is believed that this is just one of the several roof-top options, and a retractable fabric roof along with a glass roof may also move on to the options list of the new Wrangler.
Jeep is expected to use more aluminium in the construction of the upcoming Wrangler to reduce the weight of the car and increase efficiency. Also, the brand is planning to use a series of engines that include the more fuel efficient 2.0-litre motor called the Hurricane, the existing Pentastar V6 motor, and the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel motor. Jeep is expected to introduce the new Wrangler later this year so stay tuned for the details.
