Ford has officially announced the global revealing of the much-awaited 2015 Ford Endeavour on November 13, 2014. The company has also released the first teaser video of the new SUV, which also stated that the global reveal of the SUV will take place on Nov, 13.
The teaser video shows very little about the SUV, including headlights and the grille. The grille and headlamps largely resembles the Everest concept shown at the 2014 Bangkok Motor Show. It is expected that the production spec model will share most of its styling cues with the Everest concept. Rumors also suggest that the next Endeavour will share its interior components and layout with the Ford F-150 pickup.
If media reports are to be believed, the next Endeavour will be offered in two new diesel engine options including a 2.2-litre 4-pot diesel and a 3.2-litre 5-cylinder engine. However, the Indian-spec model would feature the same 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre diesel engines. Instead of five-speed of manual and automatic units, the new generation Endeavour is reportedly to feature new six-speed units.
The company has also improved the suspension setup to offer better drivability on both on-road and off-road terrains. Based on the new Ranger’s ladder-frame chassis, the new Endeavour features an independent layout for rear suspension instead of the leaf spring layout on the outgoing model. The India launch for the new generation Endeavour is expected by 2015 end.
