      Next-Gen Endeavour aka Everest awarded 5 Stars by ANCAP

      Ford Endeavour has always been a key player in its segment. The next-gen model has reportedly scored a 5-star rating in Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) crash tests. Out of the total 37 pointers, the vehicle scored an overall 35.98. During test it was noted that passenger compartment held well while the steering wheel displacements and pedals were well controlled.

      For safety, the NextGen Endeavour gets interesting set of features like ABS, EBD and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) along with other features like seatbelt reminders for the front and second row passengers on the higher trims. The company offers side, head, front and knee airbags as standard across trims.

      Based on different angled crash tests, the vehicle scored 15.38 points out of 16 in frontal offset test, while in the Pole and side impact test it scored two out of two and sixteen out of sixteen respectively. It was also noted that the door remained closed during crash and could also be opened normally later. The passenger and driver contact with the airbags was also found to be stable and satisfactory.
