Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, will unveil the new generation Audi R8 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. The car's images have already been leaked on interweb ahead of its debut in Geneva. It will replace the current generation model globally.
The 2016 Audi R8 supercar will get all-new exteriors. It gets new front fascia with new family grille, which was previewed at the Los Angeles Concept car in 2014. The overall profile of the car remains the same but the new R8 misses out on its stylish side blades. The creases and lines are sharper than the outgoing model, and largely resemble the new Audi TT.
It is expected that the new generation Audi R8 will be powered by the same 5.2-litre V10 powertrain that also powers the new Lamborghini Huracan. This engine is likely to be detuned to provide slightly less power. It is also likely to get a revised version of the 4.2-litre V8 engine. It is expected that the new supercar will get a more efficient engine lineup that offers high performance. There will also be a plug-in hybrid variant of the supercar, and media reports suggest that the company might also introduce a fully electric version of the car.
Since the Audi R8 is on sale in India as well, we expect it to be launched in India post its launch in some international markets.
