To give a new reason to cheer for the local population, the German carmaker has ushered in the new Cross Polo 1.2 MPI for a lucrative price tag of about Rs. 6.94 lakhs ( Ex-showroom Mumbai). Bookings for the vehicle commences today. Speaking more on the new launch, Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “With the New Volkswagen Cross Polo, we will inject some excitement into the premium hatchback segment in India. With its rugged, dynamic styling, upmarket interiors and high levels of safety, we are sure the New Cross Polo will appeal to buyers who like a bit of sportiness and individuality in their cars.”
The new Volkswagen Cross Polo 1.2 MPI is powered by 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates about 74 bhp of power with 110 Nm of torque. The company claims that the new vehicle delivers an impressive mileage figure of about 16.47 kmpl and has been designed for a perfect balance between performance and fuel efficiency. The vehicle is available in interesting shades of Flash Red, Deep Black and Reflex Silver.
As for safety, the vehicle gets anti-lock brakes (ABS) and dual front airbags. Moreover, the vehicle comes with 4-star NCAP safety rating. The exterior sports ‘Cross’ bumpers with silver accents, silver-painted roof rails and rear-view mirror housing and ‘Cross’ front grille with chrome accent. It also gets dual-beam halogen headlamps with black finish and 15-inch alloy wheels. In the interior, you can spot leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, superior ‘Cloud Titan Black’ upholstery and comes with ‘Climatronic’ automatic air-conditioning for enhanced driving experience.
