      New Tata Indigo e-CS Launched in India

      Tata Motors launched a more fuel-efficient model of its entry level sedan Indigo. Tata Indigo e-CS was launched in the Indian market. It is built on existing Tata Indigo platform and succeeds Tata Indigo CS model.

      ARAI has approved quoted mileage of 23 kmpl for the new Tata Indigo e-CS model under test conditions. The e-CS model is available with 1.4L CR4 common rail diesel engine but the 1.2L MPFI petrol engine option is also available. Tata Motors has refined both the engines for a smoother driving experience. Moreover, they are also compliant with the new BS IV norms that are prevalent in 13 cities of India. The new Tata Indigo e-CS is available in four colours and comes with a warranty of 18 months.

      Tata has also refurbished the exteriors with a new satin finish, ORVM with blinkers, new front grille and new headlamps. "The Indigo CS has dominated the entry mid-size segment in the country for almost two years with its proposition of being the most compact sedan in the market... If the Indigo CS was the most compact sedan in the world, the Indigo e-CS has set a fresh benchmark by also becoming the most fuel efficient sedan in the country," the company said.
