The Gixxer motorcycle from Suzuki received a lot of flak last September when it made a grand debut in the country. This year in April, Suzuki had launched the fully-faired version Gixxer SF in the country. As per sources, the company has planned a fresh upgrade, in form of rear disc brake for both the models as against the disc brake form found in the current generation.
The new Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF is powered by 154.9cc, carburetted, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates about 14.6Bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of torque at about 6,000rpm. The fairly powered engine is mated to 5-speed gearbox.
More details on the technical and pricing aspect for both the bikes is unknown for now. If sources are to be believed, the bikes may be launched sometime by mid-October. With the addition of rear disc brake system, the bike shall offer enhanced braking capabilities. It is yet to be seen if the bike shall get some sticker or colour upgrades.
