      New Skoda Superb launched in India

      The new Skoda Superb has been launched in India at Rs  22,68,305 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This is the new saloon that has been launched with a new design language. Skoda states it looks more sporty that adds more emotion to the brand. The width has been increased and now there are bi-xenon headlamps and daytime running LEDs. The headlamps have the crystalline effect indicating Czech craftsmanship, and the sloping roofline gives it a coupe-like look. The Superb now comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.

      The Skoda Superb comes with best in class rear seat space, an improvement over the previous generation as well. The boot size of this saloon is 625 litres, which is the best in class. Then there is a 6.5-inch touchscreen system with ConnectLink that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well. This music system has an output of 610W from 12 Canton speakers. The Skoda Superb comes with eight airbags, BS, ESP, adaptive headlamps and even multi-collision braking system. The Superb comes with a 1.8-litre turbo petrol engine that churns about 178bhp of power and comes with six-speed manual and seven-speed dual clutch box, while the diesel is a 2.0-litre producing 176bhp of power and comes with a six-speed DSG. The diesel engine has a fuel efficiency of 18.19km/l, while the petrol manual returns 14.12 km/l and 14.67km/l for that automatic. The Skoda Superb gets features like keyless entry, push start and stop, reverse parking camera, ventilated seats, three zone climate control.
