Skoda might soon launch a new variant of the Octavia - the 'Laurin & Klement' (L&K) trim. Ahead of its official launch, dealers have received prices of the new version and are also accepting bookings for the same.
Skoda has not revealed the details of the L&K trim officially, but our dealer sources have given us a peek into its feature list. The cabin gets premium perforated leather seats and a new Canton 12-speaker audio system. The cosmetic changes are limited to L&K badging and the car will be on offer in two colour options - white and quartz grey.
The Skoda Octavia L&K trim will not be offered with the 1.4-litre engine options. It will only be available in the automatic variants of the 1.8-litre TSI petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine models. The petrol comes mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic and the diesel with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
This renowned L&K version was earlier on offer on both the Laura and the first generation Octavia. But, with the launch of the third generation Octavia, the L&K model was discontinued. Nonetheless, the company plans to re-introduce the L&K model into the current Octavia line up. The prices start at Rs 21.2 lakhs (ex-showroom Navi-Mumbai) for the petrol variant and Rs 23.19 lakhs for the diesel.
