The next-gen Superb is based on the company’s new design language, as it shares most of its styling cues with the VisionC concept. Based on the extended MQB platform that also underpins the Volkswagen Passat, the next-generation sedan gets all the features offered with its sibling. The next Superb will be longer and wider than the current model. It is 20mm longer and 50mm wider, while the wheelbase has been raised by 80mm which offer extra cabin and luggage space.

The 2016 Skoda Superb sedan is claimed to be 75kg lighter than the predecessor, which adds to its performance and efficiency. It comes with a large boot space of 625-litres, which can be increased up to 1,760 litres by folding rear seats. Likely to share its engine lineup with the Passat saloon, the Skoda Superb will be offered in both front wheel drive and all-wheel drive system. The powerful 3.6L V6 FSI motor powering the current model will be removed from the lineup.
