Porsche has finally introduced the second generation model of its SUV Cayenne in India. The model is available in five variants in the Indian market - Cayenne, Cayenne S, Caynne Turbo, Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S Hybrid. The new generation model is priced between Rs. 65.82 lakh and Rs. 1.27 crores. The company's ex-showroom price for the five models are, Cayenne (Rs 65,82,000), Cayenne S (Rs 78,62,000), Caynne Turbo (Rs 1,27,10,000), Cayenne Diesel (Rs 59,22,000) and Cayenne S Hybrid (Rs 75,46,000).
Cayenne contributes to over 80% of Porsche's total annual sales in India. This year it hopes do even better as the new product is loaded with technology and competitively priced. “New Porsche has more features. It's longer and much more spacious than its predecessor ; its good value for money and will do well,” said James Bourne, Regional Director - Middle East. Porsche has also opened its dealerships in more cities of India including Kochi, Ahmadabad, Chandigarh and Hyderabad.
According to the Porsche Director Ashish Chordia, the company is also investing in opening new dealerships in Tier II cities of India. He also stated that the current design of Cayenne launched in India offers high value on design, power etc. but is very much focused on providing high efficiency to the users.
