The much awaited Range Rover Evoque facelift has finally been launched in India for Rs 47.1 Lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). The globally popular SUV gets fresh cosmetic upgrades this time around while mechanically there are no major upgrades. The SUV has been introduced in India via the CKD route and shall be assembled at JLR facility in Pune.
Under the hood the new Range Rover Evoque continues to be powered by 2.2-litre SD4, 4-cylinder engine that generates 189bhp and 420Nm of torque. The SUV gets 9-speed ZF automatic gearbox and is capable of attaining a top speed of about 195km/h. In terms of design upgrades, the vehicle gets tweaked front and rear bumpers, Xenon headlamps infused with DRLs, larger air-intakes and LED foglamp strips. Inside, the SUV gets Meridian 17-speaker audio system, navigation system, passive entry, rear seat entertainment, surround camera system and head up display.
As for safety, the new Range Rover Evoque gets Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Torque Vectoring by Braking, multiple airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Roll Stability Control, and ABS with EBD. The Terrain Response System has been offered as standard across trims.
