Tata Motors has more than one ace up their sleeves. They intend to fight the tough times with vigor and strength. The company is already buzzing with activity due to the upcoming launch of Tata Nano this month. It intends to launch 5 more models this year. It launched 6 models last year and this year it intends to cruise through choppy waters with a determination.
Tata Motors will launch five models in financial year 2009-2010, said Rajiv Dubey on the sidelines of a conference to launch Xenon XT pick up. "We are looking for appropriate space in the market and in terms of ability to put out our products in an able manner,” he added. The company is hopeful of launching its Nano car, a new Indigo and a cross-over vehicle which is a cross between multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and MSUV.
It recently launched the new Xenon XT (Cross Terrain) in a two cab variant. Tata has packed Xenon XT with hosts of comfort and convenience features like power steering, power windows, central locking, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), electrically adjustable side rear view mirrors and height adjustable seat belts. Tata Motors also plans to launch Punto from the Fiat product portfolio later this year.
