The speculations over the launch of new Maruti Suzuki Swift don’t seem to come to a halt as the car is now believed to be rolled-out on August 17th as per rumors. The rumour mill has started with a print advertisement of India’s largest passenger car maker, stating that the car is ‘coming soon’. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is yet to reveal the exact launch date of the new Swift.
Car buyers and Maruti lovers have reason to hurry as the bookings are open and will be done on first come first serve basis. To lure the potential consumers, the ad further gives an insight of company investment. Maruti has endowed an impressive amount of Rs 6,000 crore on enhancing production capacity and Research & Development.
The company seems to be making the launch more exciting by not unveiling the full pose of the new Swift. Neither Maruti website nor the print ad shows the image of the much anticipated hatchback and on top of it, it says ‘hold your breath a little longer’.
The move to stop the production of old Swift and reintroduce the new one might be a fruitful decision of Maruti to increase its share in the small segment of cars in the world’s second largest auto market after China.
The new Swift has been built on a completely different platform with slightly larger dimensions than the currently running car along with added features. The length is rumoured to be 2.4 percent longer as compared to the present model which paves way for more space and added comfort.
Winners never stop and Maruti seems to be following this quote pretty well, as it also plans a relaunch for the Swift Dzire in the coming months.
