Sources from IAB had recently stated that the new Mahindra Scorpio shall be launched in five interestingly new variants like - S2, S4, S6, S8 and S10. Mahindra has already started accepting the bookings for the vehicle at a token amount of Rs. 20,000. The Scorpio SUV line from Mahindra has been a strong brand in the Indian market, infact the SUV has held the top spot in terms of sales numbers in the country. Going forward with the legacy, Mahindra is expected to launch the new Scorpio sometime early next month or by end September.
The all new Scorpio from Mahindra is expected to feature smart shades of Diamond White, Mist Silver and Fiery Black. Not just these, Mahindra Scorpio shall also be offered in brighter shades of Molten Red and Regal Blue for the first time in the Scorpio line. The new generation of Mahindra Scorpio shall continue to be powered by the existing line of 2.2-litre mHawk engine that generates about 120 PS of power with 290 Nm of torque output. Apart from improved fuel efficiency figures and further refined gearbox, no major technical changes shall be made on the new Scorpio. This time around the new Scorpio is just restricted to cosmetic upgrades.
The new Scorpio shall sport steering mount controls for easy access to various functions. The interior has been redone with stylish upholestry that renders it an upmarket feel. The instrument console has also been worked upon by Mahindra to give the car a fresher appeal. On the exterior, the new Scorpio sports a sharper designed grill with wind splitters that compliment the newly designed headlamps. Apart from these, the new Scorpio gets fun on the go touchscreen enabled infotainment system. The vehicle shall also get interesting feature like climate control for unpredictable Indian climatic conditions exact pricing for the new upcoming Mahindra Scorpio is not known, but it is expected to be offered at a marginally higher price tag. Pricing aspect is unknown for now, but it is expected to be priced around Rs. 8 - 11 Lakhs segment.
