Country’s largest vehicle maker Tata Motors is planning to roll-out an upgraded version of its popular hatchback Indica Vista by the end of this year, as per recent media reports in the country. At a time when petrol prices are skyrocketing and more and more buyers are shifting towards diesel run cars, the launch of a new generation Indica Vista is expected to boost the sales of Vista series as well as strengthen its position in the Indian market.

At present, Indica Vista model is available in both petrol and diesel version in the Indian market. It carries four different engine options including two petrol (Safire 65, Safire 90), and two diesel (TDi and Quadrajet) engines. The launch of new age Indica Vista will enable the car to compete more promptly with its recently entered rivals including Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo and Nissan Micra. Moreover, a number of new competitors of Indica Vista are set to enter the Indian market this year including Toyota Etios Liva and Honda Brio.

However, Tata Motors is yet to reveal the time line of launch and pricing and specification details of the new Indica Vista in the country.
