Hyundai Motors India Limited is planning to launch a new face-lifted Hyundai Verna in India in January. According to the sources, the new Verna will have cosmetic changes in the front as well as in the interiors. There may be changes in the interiors, music system with USB port, etc.
The new Verna will compete against the Fiat Linea that is slated for launch shortly in India. The existing Verna is a stylish luxury sedan in its segment with awe-inspiring engines and elegant interiors. It is available with 5-speed manual transmission in all variants. It comes with 1.6-litre I4 engine in the petrol variants and a 1.5L I4 turbocharged engine in the diesel variants.
Hyundai Motor India Limited is India’s largest car exporter and second largest car manufacturer. It plans to capture larger market share in India and plans to expand its product portfolio as well. It has recently launched Hyundai i20, which is the premium hatchback model in its segment. It is also planning to launch the new face-lifted Sonata Embera in India before it launches the upgraded version of Verna.
