      Designs from Hyundai have always been impressive. The cars from the Korean carmaker features smooth flowing design based on its Fluidic design philosophy. In the Indian car market, Korean carmaker Hyundai has been a prominent brand name for nearly a decade now and performance from Hyundai engines have been known to be refined and smooth. Recently, Hyundai has unveiled its new sedans namely Xcent and Verna for the local soil.

      The newly launched Xcent sedan from Hyundai sports revised front and rear bumpers; has provision for LED lights and touchscreen entertainment unit with Bluetooth connectivity. The recently unveiled sedan is powered by either 1.2 Litre kappa dual VTVT petrol or 1.1 Litre U2 technology diesel engine. As per sources, the car may also be available with an automatic transmission apart from a regular manual version. The car is placed in straight line of competition with the likes of Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze. The interiors get a dash of dual tone black and beige interior, push button start has been smartly positioned, electro chromic mirror acts as a rear display for rear camera.

      Safety factor has been given due importance by the Korean car-maker. The production version of Xcent is loaded with Anti-lock braking system, rear defogger, dual airbags, central locking, rear parking assist and central locking. Hyundai Xcent has been launched in the Indian market with an attractive price tag of 4.66 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).

      The newly introduced Hyundai Verna GL is powered by a 1.4 litre VTVT motor that generates a max power output of about 105 Bhp with a top torque of about 138 Nm. Whereas, the Diesel variant gets a 1.4 litre CRDI power-train that produces a maximum power of about 89 Bhp with 224 Nm of peak torque. The engine in the Petrol as well as the Diesel variants is mated to a five speed manual gearbox and six speed transmission respectively.

      The front fascia of the Hyundai Verna sports two-piece bezel design headlamps with freshly added LED positioning lamps that provide maximum luminance during night time driving. The sedan sports fine fog lamps that blend with the wide and bold grill. The flowing design of the bonnet showcases the powerful machine under the hood. The rear combination lamps at the rear leave a light trail for better visibility to following traffic. The GL variant of Verna is loaded with standard features like keyless entry, a 2 Din Audio system, electric power-steering with tilt function, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirror, and manual air conditioner. The GL trim has been introduced as a replacement to the basic 1.4 litre Petrol and Diesel variants of Verna. The Petrol version of Verna GL variant is priced at Rs 7.17 lakh, whereas the diesel version is tagged at Rs 8.35 lakh (ex-showroom price).
