Just a day after the new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios was unveiled, the engine specifications and fuel efficiency figures of the model have been leaked. The model will be launched in India on 20 August.
Powering the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be the same 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and 1.2-litre CRDi engine. The former is a BS-VI compliant unit while the latter is a BS-VI ready unit. The petrol motor will be capable of producing 81bhp and 114 Nm of torque while the diesel motor will be tuned to produce 74bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Both engine options will be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit.
The new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios petrol manual and AMT variants will return a fuel economy of 20.7 kmpl and 20.5 kmpl respectively. The diesel manual variant will return a fuel economy of 26.2 kmpl while the diesel AMT variant will return an average of 28.4 kmpl. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will rival against the likes of the Maruti Swift and the Ford Figo.
