The LA Motor Show 2015 has been one of the major platforms for global automakers to showcase their upcoming machines. Hyundai has finally showcased the production ready version of new Elantra at the event. Based on what could be seen, the new Elantra seems to borrow some styling cues from its older sibling Avante.
The new Hyundai Elantra gets two engine options – 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre engine. The 1.4-litre option named as ‘Elantra Eco’ has been mated to seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard and generates about 126bhp. The 2.0-litre engine comes mated to six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. In place of fog lamps, the vehicle gets LED daytime running lamps that renders a smart style to new chrome loaded grill.
As for safety, Hyundai has offered vehicle stability Management, ABS and ESC, traction control and tire pressure monitoring system. The vehicle also gets seven airbags, blind spot detection, pedestrian detection, lane keep assist and other interesting features.
