The much-awaited new Honda Brio has been officially launched in India. Featuring refreshed exteriors and all-new interiors, the Brio is now on sale with ex-showroom prices ranging between Rs 4.69 lakh and Rs 6.81 lakh.
In terms of design upgrades, not much is change on the outside. The new Brio, in fact, gets a gloss black and chrome finish on the front grille and an edgier bumper design with more creases than before. At the rear, the car gets revised taillights and a new tailgate spoiler.
The exterior may not be a whole lot different compared to the old Brio, but the interior certainly is. Like all new Hondas, the Brio now gets a multi-layered dash with lots of silver accents and sharp creases. The centre console is all new, so is the triple analogue instrument console with blue illumination. In terms of features, top-spec variants get 2-DIN integrated audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, digital AC controls, electric mirrors, steering mounted controls and different seat fabrics. The Brio can be had with either beige or all-black interiors (for the top-spec variant).
Under the hood, there’s the familiar 4-cylinder 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that delivers 86bhp at 6,000rpm and 109Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Like its predecessor, the new Brio can be had with either a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed automatic gearbox with fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl and 16.5kmpl respectively.
