Toyota India may launch the next-generation Innova next year since the testing of the new model has already commenced in India. The company might even unveil the vehicle at the upcoming 2016 Delhi Auto Show. Surprisingly, the first image of the MPV has already been leaked on the internet that reveals some crucial details about the product.

Going by the picture, it is clearly visible that the front shares styling with new Corolla Altis and Camry saloon. It has hexagonal grille with two chrome slats that merge into the sweptback headlamps. The headlamps get double-barrel projector units with integrated LED daytime running lamps. The sculpted bumper features wider air dam and new fog lamps.

The side profile carries the same van-like shape, but the company has made quite a few changes to give it a new look. It has newly designed glass area, prominent creases that run across the length, and new flared wheel arches. It is based on Toyota's Innovative International Multi-purpose vehicle (IMV) platform that also underpins the Hilux pick-up truck and the Fortuner.

The next-gen Innova is expected to offer an even more spacious cabin with more focus on third row seats. It is likely to retain the existing engines, but the powetrains might be tuned for better fuel efficiency and NVH levels.
