The Porsche Cayenne is among the most popular models available in India of this luxury car brand. The first versions to make a mark in the automobile industry were the S and Turbo variants. This car was first introduced in 2003 and was followed up by the V6 model in 2006. However, the range topping model Turbo S, which was also launched in 2006, brought this car into the limelight and global recognition. The second generation SUV came up in 2010 to replace the first generation that also brought a couple of new models. The line-up was enriched with a hybrid model in 2011 and with a diesel variant n 2013. All these new models have expanded the global reach of Cayenne and popularised the car on the global scale.

A second generation model of Porsche Cayenne has been launched recently. The car has an extensive mid-cycle facelift, which includes a plethora of visual changes. Apart from these, the car also has a list of interior upgrades and more updated powertrains. The new Cayenne is supposedly on course to become slightly more aggressive in design. Also, the new model gets more power, simultaneously with a promise to offer better fuel economy.

Most often, facelifts are all about improving the fascia, but Cayenne has definitely taken it to the next level with the new model. A completely redesigned bumper adorns the front of the car with a larger grille, which is rectangular in shape. The headlights are much larger, with four-point LED daytime running lights embossed on the front. A set of revised fog lamps has been mounted on the lower apron to make the car’s appearance more aggressive.

The 3.0 litre V-6 engine is capable of raking up 416 horsepower with 5500 rpm. With a net torque output of 435 pound-feet at 1250 rpm, the car is set to outrun the outgoing model by a fair margin. All this revved up specs make the car dash to 60 miles per hour from ignition at only 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 151 miles per hour. Definitely, the fans are up for a major style and power boost with the all new Porsche Cayenne.
