Maruti Swift Dzire 2012, one of the most awaited cars in the Indian auto market, is all set to hit the country’s roads next month. The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has announced that it new generation Swift Dzire model, which will be shorter in size and cheaper in cost, is in the final stage of its launch and will be rolled-out in the country next month. The 2012 Maruti Swift Dzire model is expected to receive an overwhelming response from the India buyers of this segment.
The length of new generation Maruti Swift Dzire model has been trimmed down to less than 4 meters, so that it can qualify for the lesser excise duty segment. The lesser duties form the government will enable the company to price its cars more competitively, about Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 cheaper as compared to the previous generation model. At present, the excise duty for the sub 4 meter segment of cars is 10 percent, as compared to the excise duty of 22 percent on the existing model of Swift Dzire.
With compact size and lesser price tag, the new generation model of Swift Dzire model will compete more promptly with the rivals like Toyota Etios, Hyundai Accent, Mahindra Verito, etc. besides reducing its size and price tag, the company is also expected to make a number of cosmetic changes and technological improvements in the new Swift Dzire 2012.
