Honda City, one of the most popular sedans in the Indian market that has been ruling the mid-size sedan segment for more than a decade now, will be launched in a new generation version next month. The new avatar of the Honda City sedan is slated to be launched in the country in November 2011. As per the recent media reports, the Honda dealers are offering attractive discounts on the existing version of Honda City so that older stock can be cleared rapidly.
The new Honda City has already been launched in the Thailand market in September 2011, and now the company is all set to launch it in India in the second half of the next month. The car was earlier expected to be rolled-out ahead of October’s festive season to give it a good opening, but the company decided to further delay the launch by a month.
The supremacy of Honda City has been on stake since last few months in the Indian market with entry of the new age competitors like Hyundai Verna Fluidic, Volkswagen Vento and Nissan Sunny. Now with the launch of new generation Honda City sedan, the company is looking forward to save its leadership position in the mid-size segment in India.
The new Honda City will come incorporated with a number of cosmetic changes at both exterior and interior front including a new front look and re styled interior. The exact details of these changes are yet to be revealed by the company.
