Renault, the French automaker, is working on the next-generation Duster SUV, which is scheduled to go on sale in 2016-17. If media reports are to be believed, the next-gen Duster will be unveiled in 2016 and will offer seat for seven adults. The outgoing model is a five-seater SUV, and the seven-seater model suggests that the SUV will grow in size.

The next-gen Duster will be 15 centimetres more in length, thus taking it around 4.50 meters. The increase in length will help create extra space for the third row seat. We believe that the new model could be offered in both five-seat and seven-seat options. The seven-seat option would also help Renault position the Duster SUV well against the competitors.

It is expected that the 2017 Renault Duster SUV will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The engines, however, might be the same that also power the existing model. The company is likely to introduce the automatic transmission option on both petrol and diesel versions. It will get "a more modern body design", which is influenced by the Duster Oroch concept that Renault had unveiled at the 2014 Sao Paulo Auto Show.

Talking about the Oroch concept, it came with 18-inch wheels and broad side protective mouldings. The dashboard got a multimedia screen, 'Cover Carving' technology, fluorescent orange on a dark charcoal interior, etc.
