The much awaited MPV Lodgy from Renault is finally set to make its debut in the MPV segment next month. Renault dealers in the country have been accepting the bookings for the vehicle at a token amount of Rs. 50,000. Post launch it shall emerge as the new contender against vehicles like Ertiga and Mobilio that have been popular sellers in India.
The upcoming Renault Lodgy shall be powered by 1.5-litre dCi engine with two different power output figures – 110 PS and 85 PS. The 85 PS version comes mated to a five speed gearbox whereas the 110 PS trim comes mated to six-speed gearbox. The vehicle shall likely be offered at a starting price tag of about Rs. 8.0 Lakhs. Components like instrument cluster, infotainment system, steering wheel, and air conditioning vents seems to be lifted directly from the Duster SUV.
The stylish chrome bar grill compliments the sweptback headlamps. The smooth flowing curves on the front and rear bumper gives it a neat charm. The Lodgy MPV shall feature a large 2810mm of wheelbase that ensures a spacious cabin space for the occupants.
