      New EcoCa from London to Beat Tata Nano Price

      A new car, EcoCa, is set to challenge Tata Nano price and claim the title of world’s cheapest car. A little known company is planning to launch a 340cc two-seater petrol car priced at $2200 or Rs 1 lakh to claim the title of “world’s cheapest car.” the company is looking for a joint-venture partner in India to sell the car in the Indian auto market. “We have identified India as a lucrative market to achieve our price target of $2,200 which will also help us earn healthy profit margins,” said Karman M Naghdi, MD of EcoCa Ltd. He also stated that some car makers have shown keen interest in the car after viewing its performance, safety features and mileage.

      The new EcoCa has been developed with an investment of Rs 60 crores and features automatic transmission and a convertible roof. The design and style are said to be inspired from VW Beetle. The company has not revealed any pictures of its new car so far. As per the technical details available about the car, it is made from lightweight and high strength ABS plastic. The fiber body is resistant to heat and chemicals. As per the company claims, the car is capable of delivering a mileage of 27-28 kmpl against Nano’s 23.5 kmpl fuel efficiency. It is capable of achieving a top speed of 70 kmph and has already cleared crash tests in Europe.
