DC Designs will launch the highly anticipated DC Avanti in the early next year. The dealers have again started taking pre-orders for the car at a token amount of Rs. 5 lakh, while the deliveries are promised by August-September, 2015. The customers who earlier booked their Avanti’s will get deliveries in January, 2015. First unveiled at the 2012 Delhi Motor Show, the DC Avanti received some changes to exterior styling at the 2014 Auto Show.

The two-seater sports car flared wheel arches have been fitted to 20-inch alloy wheels which are covered with 255/35 tyres at the front and wider 295/30 tyres at the rear. Under the hood is the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 250bhp and peak torque of 360Nm. Power is transmitted to rear wheels of the car via a six-speed manual transmission gearbox. The DC Avanti accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 6 seconds and hit a top speed of 180kmph, which is pretty decent.
The ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) and all-disc brakes come as standard. It also features Bi-Xenon headlamps, motorsport-inspired fuel filters, airbags, etc. A total of 10 exterior shades will be on offer, and is expected to be priced around Rs. 35-38 lakh.
