Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch the much-awaited Swift Dzire facelift in the country in coming weeks. The updated model has been spotted several times during its test rounds, and the company has already started dispatching it to dealerships. Few dealers have already started displaying the car to prospective buyers. Bookings for the car have already commenced, while the deliveries are expected to commence next month.

The Swift Dzire facelift will get changes to both exteriors and interiors. Moreover, the top-of-the line ZDi variant will get new features. The compact sedan will be equipped with features like electrically foldable rear view mirrors, motion theme alloy wheels, push-button start, Bluetooth enabled audio system, multi-functional steering wheel with telephony buttons, rear parking sensors, keyless entry, rear power socket, new seat covers, etc.

The updated Dzire will get an all-new front fascia with new chrome grille, flanked by new headlamps with smoked clusters. Other additions include new chrome enclosure for fog-lights, new bumpers, and new exterior shades. Under the hood are the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that is good for 85bhp and the 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel unit that produces 74bhp of power. If reports are to be believed, the company will tune the engines to offer around 10 per cent more fuel economy than the outgoing model.

The Maruti Swift Dzire competes against the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. According to Gaadiwaadi.com, the entry level petrol variant of the sedan is priced at Rs. 5.07 lakh while the base diesel variant is tagged at Rs. 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
