General Motors India is ready to introduce the new international 2011 Chevrolet Aveo at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. The new model was first previewed at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year in January and was described as the Chevrolet Aveo RS concept model. The upcoming model to be displayed next month is the production ready model and carries most of the looks and styling from the concept model.
The new Aveo looks all the more aggressive from the front as the powerful twin headlamps and dual grille give Aveo a much broader look than its predecessor. The new production ready model speaks of a tighter body with meaner looks and bold styling. It gets its design cues from new Chevrolet Beat and the latest sedan Cruze. 2011 Aveo will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. Petrol engine will have 1.2L generating 86 bhp and 1.4L generating 100bhp while diesel will have a 1.3L engine with power in the range of 75 bhp or 95 bhp. The center console features blue backlighting and the interior features good-quality materials with an up-to-date audio system featuring USB and Bluetooth. The Aveo comes with Electronic Power Steering and ABS brakes as standard along with Electronic Stability Control.
General Motors will reveal the final price and detailed technical specifications of the car at the Paris Auto Show that starts on October 02, 2010. The model is expected to hit the Indian roads by late 2011.
