Indian car market has been sustaining a tough period for the past year with the demand being really low and sales coming at a premium. There are several reasons why the auto industry has been witnessing a fall, such as the constantly falling value of rupee, widespread price rise and reluctance on the part of buyers. Auto makers have been forced to resort to desperate measures to keep their momentum going, which includes high discount of successful models and lucrative insurance deals. However, with the festive season approaching, industry experts have predicted some sort of respite for companies. Notably, the festive season is considered to be the best time to purchase a new vehicle in India. The month of August has already seen the third generation Skoda Octavia being unveiled and its launch is imminent. In coming days, manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Nissan and Hyundai are slated to launch and unveil new models.
