October is considered an auspicious month loaded with special festivals throughout the month. Last week Maruti Suzuki's much awaited sedan named Ciaz was launched in the country. Apart from this, Fiat is expected to bring-in its Avventura Crossover this month along with Mercedes Benz GLA 45 AMG also due to be launched this month. At the Ciaz launch event, Kenichi Ayukawa, MD and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India said, “The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is the car for customers who are looking to upgrade to a premium mid-sized sedan.” The Avventura crossover is highly awaited car for Fiat in India.
Mercedes Benz has been a local favorite among luxury car buyers in the country. The GLA45 AMG from Mercedes Benz is a crossover that is stated to be a high performance version of GLA. The Mercedes Benz GLA45 AMF shall be powered by 2 Liter Turbocharged engine that is capable of generating 360 Ps of power with 450 Nm of torque. The powerful engine shall get 4Matic All-wheel drive system that is mated to 7 speed twin clutch automatic gearbox. The powerful crossover is capable attaining a 100 km/hr mark in just about 4.8 seconds and can clock top speeds of about 250 km/hr with ease. Pricing aspect is unknown for now, but it is believed to be priced over Rs. 65 Lakhs.
The Avventura from Fiat has also been one of the most anticipated vehicle for this year. Avventura shall be the company's first offering in the crossover segment for the Indian market. Fiat Avventura is expected to be powered by 1.4 Litre FIRE Petrol engine. Whereas the diesel trim may be powered by 1.3-litre multi-jet engine that is capable of delivering power of about 90 bhp of power with 200 Nm of peak torque. The “Multi-Purpose” roof rails on the top of the vehicle adds an overall style quotient to the crossover from Fiat. Apart from style, the crossover shall also be loaded with ample legroom and headroom for its occupants. It is said that apart from manual transmission, the Avventura crossover shall also be available in automatic transmission option.
The all new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been launched in four Petrol trims at an introductory prices like VXi - Rs. 6.99 lakh, VXi+ - Rs. 7.55 lakh, ZXi - Rs. 8.24 lakh, ZXi (O) - Rs. 8.59 lakh, VXi AT - Rs. 8.65 lakh and ZXi AT - Rs. 9.34 lakh. Whereas, the diesel trims of Maruti Ciaz is available in four diesel trims at introductory prices like VDi - Rs. 8.04 lakh, VDi+ - Rs. 8.63 lakh, ZDi - Rs. 9.45 lakh and ZDi (O) - Rs. 9.80 lakh. The 1.4-litre K-Series petrol variant generates a power output of about 94 bhp with 130 Nm of torque, whereas the diesel trims of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are powered by 1.3 Liter multi-jet engine that delivers 89bhp of power with 200Nm of torque. The sedan is loaded with rich features and reliability assurance that cars with Maruti Suzuki badge had been carrying for generations.
