The next-generation BMW 7 Series has made its Indian debut at a customer event in Goa. The showcase, held to preview the new 7 Series to potential buyers, will be followed by its official launch at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The production ready 2016 BMW 7 Series, which was unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, shows the direction BMW intends taking for all its future products, then be it in terms of design, technology or positioning. The new 7 Series is an evolution of the current car’s design philosophy both internally and externally. Some of the new exterior elements include laser headlamps, LED fog lamps, chrome package and dual exhaust tips.

The cabin gets the latest version of BMW’s iDrive system that supports gesture controls. Other features include a revised HUD, new steering wheel, ambient lighting options and optional captain seats for the rear with power adjustment.

The car will be available in 730Ld, 740Ld, 740Li and 750Li configurations. However, the top-spec 760Li is missing from the line up which we believe will be introduced as the ELWB model to rival Mercedes-Benz’s Maybach S600.
