Mercedes Benz India, a unit of the leading German luxury car maker, has launched their much awaited B – Class model in the Indian market in the price segment of Rs 21.49 lakh to 24.87 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai price). With this price tag, the B-Class model has become the lowest priced Mercedes Benz India portfolio car. Moreover, the new B Class is claimed to be their first sports tourer model in the Indian market.
The Mercedes Benz B Class is offered in two variants including B 180 and the B 180 Sport, which are priced at Rs 21.49 lakhs and 24.87 Lakhs, respectively.
Powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine, the new B Class model is capable of delivering a peak power of 122PS along with a top speed of 190 km/h. Powerful engine of the car is coupled with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox with 3 driving modes.
Speaking to the reporters on the occasion of launch, Director of Sales & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz India, Mr. Debashis Mitra said, "We are extremely excited with the initial response of the B-Class in India. Our Strategy of introducing the segment & then launching the car has been well received by our customers."
