It is no longer a surprise that Audi will soon launch the new generation Audi Q7 in India. The fast that Audi is testing the new gen Q7 without any camouflage in India shows the brand’s confidence in the new product. It has always dominated the large SUV sales and has been a crowd puller for Audi in the niche SUV segment. The new gen Audi Q7 will also showcase a great deal of technology that powers it.
Firstly, they have cut the flab around it and made it look more human like with crisp and sophisticated lines. It no longer looks scary and fearsome as earlier but has got very premium with an understated design language. The front single piece grille gets a chrome treatment. The headlights now get a sleeker profile. To the side, the shoulder line has been freed up of creases lending a tidy silhouette that looks stretched. The same theme is seen on the rear tail lid.
The interiors have been further refined and also updated wherever needed to make the cabin feel more niche and premium. The instrumental cluster features the large display with a well spread navigation screen similar to that seen on the new generation Audi TT. The infotainment system too will receive an update with a new user interface which makes it extremely easy to navigate on the screen.
The new Audi Q7 will be powered by a 3.0-litre TDI motor mated to an 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox. Max speed will be electrically limited to 234 kmph. The diesel motor will be then accompanied by a 2.0-litre TFSI motor again mated to an 8-speed transmission. The Q7 too will come with drive select options to configure throttle response, shift pattern and suspension setup.
