Aston Martin has taken the covers off its newest creation – the Vanquish S. Poised to become the brand’s most compelling Vanquish yet, this new S specification model is more powerful and meaner looking than the standard Vanquish that’s currently on sale in India.

New Aston Martin Vanquish S revealed

The Vanquish S is the most potent version of the grand tourer yet, thanks to its uprated 6-litre V12 engine putting out nearly 600bhp of power, up from 570bhp in the standard car. The engine is mated to the proven 8-speed automatic gearbox which has also been reworked for smoother gear shifts at town speeds.

As for suspension upgrades, the Vanquish S gets retuned dampers, anti-roll bars and different spring rates. Visually, the car can be distinguished by a new aerodynamic package. Made from exposed carbon fibre, this revised front splitter and rear diffuser combine to reduce frontal lift at high speeds.

Aston Martin has revealed that the Vanquish S will go on sale soon in both coupe and Volante (convertible) form with prices starting from £199,950 (Rs 1.69 crore) in the UK. Now given that the brand sells its cars in India via the fully imported route, we expect the new Vanquish S to be sold in the country soon after its global launch. Aston currently sells the standard Vanquish, Vanquish Volante, Rapide S and the recently launched DB 11 under its GT range of cars for India.
